The EDMA was formed in early 2017 by a small group of like-minded individuals with backgrounds in publishing, communications, marketing and design.
Initially set up to help scientists with general dissemination activities, it quickly became apparent there were large gaps in research dissemination especially with projects wanting engagement with a more general global public away from the world of strictly scientific and peer-reviewed publishing. Today, not only can we provide a wide range of dissemination services, but we also publish a “project and research” dedicated open access publication called The Project Repository Journal and specialised bespoke project “portal pages” which serve as a landing page for your project or research keeping all key and relevant information in one place and easily accessible. These are then hosted in our fully searchable and open access project repository.
We promote a diverse working culture, have an amazing team of enthusiastic and passionate people who all share a common belief in gender equality and equal opportunities throughout science, and together we can achieve the kinds of dissemination results any project may need. This is also reflected in our editorial board and the content they provide to our journal on a quarterly basis giving our readers an exciting insight into their own work, services and policies.
We have been approached by some of the largest organisations in Europe to carry out and be the official dissemination partners for their projects; from H2020 FET-OPEN to COST Actions to Erasmus+ programmes. So far over 100 of Europe’s leading projects and Universities have trusted The EDMA with the communication of their work and going forward we plan to be at the forefront of project dissemination from inception to end results.
