Commission announces the winners of Horizon Impact Award 2020

On 23rd September 2020 the European Commission announced the winners of the 2nd edition of Horizon Impact Award; a prize dedicated to recognise EU-funded projects which have shown the ability to create societal impact across Europe and further afield. Subject matters covered by the winning projects included C02 footprint reduction, quality of life improvement for children with heart failure, the preservation of threatened species and the digitisation of historical documents. The prize for each winner was €10,000 and was awarded to CARING (France), INVISIBLE (Portugal), MACH (Germany), OCEAN SENTINEL (France) and TRANSKRIBUS (Austria). FRESH-DEMO (Netherlands) was also awarded a prize for a win in 2019 which could not be done at the time of the previous results.
