GENPARENT Project

The GENPARENT project will be co-ordinated by Stockholm University with a 5 year consolidator grant from the ERC.

It will follow same and mixed sex couples with children to further understand and compare how parental leave and paid for work is divided and what consequences this has on careers. What in the past was known as “gender-roles” will be studied in order to discover how the importance of gender, parenthood and economic incentives plays a crucial part in the division of labour within a couple. The GENPARENT project will include researchers from The Netherlands and the US and will analyse the Nordic countries.
