PROMOFS Project

Co-ordinated by the University of Oxford and funded through the ERC the PROMOFS project is a brand new research project in the field of nanoporous materials engineering.

The focus will be on the discovery, characterisation and application of MOFs (metal-organic frameworks); this innovative platform will afford disruptive photonics sensing technology. Over the 5 year research period the co-ordinator will use the advantages of MOFs over traditional materials options like metal oxides and nitrides to develop nanoengineering and processing of metal-organic framework composites for photonic sensors.
